Bapatla: Forum for Better Bapatla secretary PC Sai Babu said that Sthanam Narsimha Rao was a famous Telugu female impersonator and he was considered to have portrayed his roles more artistically than women themselves.
His 116th birth anniversary was celebrated on Sunday under the aegis of Forum For Better Bapatla on Sunday. His photo was garlanded and rich tributes were paid to the great actor.
He said the latter entered theater in 1920 and rigorously trained by Veeraraghava Swamy, played for the Rama Vilasa Sabha of nearby Tenali.
Kakumanu Social Welfare School teacher C Madhavi, students and others participated.
