New York: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh achieved progress in several sectors for the past four years by utilising the state bifurcation crisis as an opportunity and worked for the progress of the state. He said AP would be developed as Number one state in the country by 2029.

Addressing a session on governance in the age of technology at Columbia University, the Chief Minister said 7 missions were formulated for development of Navyandhra Pradesh including primary sector, social empowerment mission, infrastructure, service sector, knowledge, skill development, urban development, industrial development.

The Chief Minister said with the constant efforts the state emerged as power surplus state from power deficit stage in the past. He said a holistic approach would be adopted for development in roads in all the regions. He said TV with 250 channels, internet, net phone facilities were provided to each house for Rs 149 per month under AP Fibre grid project.

The Chief Minister said for the first time in the country the state govt taken up river linking project by linking Krishna and Godavari rivers through Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme. He said 150 tmc of Godavari water was released to Krishna to prevent water shortage to Rayalaseema region.

Giving top priority to education, the state govt has been extending financial support to students to pursue overseas education through Vidyonnati scheme. He said the state govt has been giving Rs 50000 to Rs 75000 to brides under Chandranna Pellikanuka scheme. He said pensions, ration and insurance are being distributed using Aadhar, Irish or facial recognition. CM core dashboard was developed and the updates of each department can be witnessed online through the CM core dashboard.

The Chief Minister said the Chandranna Bhima scheme is being successfully implemented under real-time governance. Using real-time governance accountability made possible to all the public services. He said all departments were brought under e-Pragati and separate Apps were introduced for utilising some of the services. The grievance cell No: 1100 help to register and redress the grievances of lakhs of people.

He said that the AP government has been encouraging natural farming since 2016 and over 5 lakh farmers adopted natural farming methods. A target was set to spread the natural farmng to 2 cr acres involving 60 lakh farmers by 2024. He said AP achieved 10.52 per cent growth rate for the past four yeuars. Efforts are on to develop the state as Number One in the country by achieving 15 per cent growth rate.
