National volley ball tourney from Oct 11

Visakhapatnam: The port city has turned into sports city as it had hosted many national and international sports in the past and now it is all set to host the All India SAI Inter-Regional Volley Ball Championship and Andhra Pradesh State Sub-Junior Inter-District Volleyball Championship for the first time.
The events will be held at the newly built indoor stadium at ZP High School, Gopalapatnam area in Visakhapatnam city from October 11 to 14. Both the events will be organised by Visakhapatnam District Volleyball Association (VDVA) under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh Volleyball Association (APVA).
President of APVA and Government Whip, PGVR Naidu (Ganababu) said that All India Sports Authority of India inter-regional volleyball championship has been allotted to VDVA for the first time in the history of the sport of Vizag city.
He said both the boys and girls teams from SAI RCs-Bengaluru, Kerala, Lucknow, Soniput , Chandigarh, Kolkatta, Gandhi Nagar (Gujarat), Mumbai, Bhopal and Army Boys sports Company will take part in the four-day championship.
PGVR Naidu said teams (boys and girls) from all the thirteen districts in Andhra Pradesh will participate in the AP sub-Junior inter-district volley ball championship at the same venue. The organising committee was all set to organise these mega-events in a grand way befitting the grandeur and standards of Vizag as well as the efforts of our Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, added Naidu Ganababu).
