Guntur: BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is trying to give new lease of life to the Congress party and by appealing to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to join in the new front.
He recalled that TDP founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao founded the Telugu Desam Party to fight against the corrupt Congress. Addressing a meeting held under the aegis of BJP Mahila Morcha here on Sunday, he said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was working against the wishes of his party founder NTR.
Ram Madhav pointed out that Naidu had already forged an electoral alliance with the Congress party in the Telangana State. He said the BJP government led by Narendra Modi at the Centre will extend a helping hand to Andhra Pradesh and fulfill all election promises.
Ram Madhav said that after the BJP came to power, so far 8.77 crore toilets were constructed in the country so far. He alleged that the TDP government in the State indulged in corruption in construction of toilets and said that funds were drawn without constructing the toilets.
He also alleged irregularities in the implementation of the welfare schemes in AP. He warned that Centre will not tolerate corruption in construction of toilets.
BJP Mahila Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar said that so far Centre sanctioned projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore for the development of Andhra Pradesh and was extending cooperation for the development of the State.
She said that the banks were sanctioning loans up to Rs 10-lakh under the Mudra Yojana Scheme. She urged the Mahila Morcha activists to take up a campaign on the welfare schemes introduced by the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana, Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao and BJP Mahila Morcha State president Thotapalli Vijaya Lakshmi were among those who participated in the meeting.
