Inter-state offender arrested

Kakinada: The CCS police here arrested Samanasi Venkataramana (40), a B Tech graduate and a professional offender involved in 85 cases in eight states.
Venkataramana alias Vamsikrishna alias Pradeep alias Swaroop hails from G Bhavaram village in Karapa mandal of East Godavari district.
Disclosing the details of arrest to media persons, the CCS DSP, A Pallapu Raju on Monday said that the accused was involved in several cases in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar, New Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra and AP since 2008.
The DSP said that he was involved in cheating of unemployed to the tune of Rs 3.85 crore by floating fake software company Moultech Solutions in Hyderabad.
The DSP also said that his latest offences include lifting of Fiat Punto car from Sri Maruti Car Consultants, Ravulapalem in East Godavari in August and lifting of a two-wheeler at Bhanugudi centre in Kakinada in October.
The DSP said that Venkataramana also impersonated as son of a former Union minister from AP, Daggubati Purandeswari and duped many including guest houses and star hotels.
