Inter-University Volleyball Tourney from November 2 to 4 in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Krishna University (KrU) in collaboration with Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) would organise Inter-University Volleyball Tournament at PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College from November 2 to 4.
KrU vice-chancellor Dr Sunkara Ramakrishna Rao said that all arrangements were made for the tournament and four sports courts have been arranged as per national-level standards. He said floodlight arrangements were made for the matches to be held day and night. As many as 15 national-level officials have been appointed to organise the matches with transparency.
About 250 players would participate in the tournament. About 50 officials were deputed to monitor the proceedings, he said and added that arrangements were made for providing food and accommodation to the players.
Organising secretary Dr Nalluri Srinivasa Rao said that many national players would participate in the matches and were adopting knockout method.
He said that HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Sports, Youth and Law Minister Kollu Ravindra, Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, MP Kesineni Srinivas, MLA Rammohan Rao, SAAP Chairman P Ankamma Chowdary and KrU Registrar P King would participate in the inauguration programme.
