Tirupati: The Tirupati Chamber of Commerce (TCC) appealed to the Urban Superintendent of Police KKN Anburajan to take steps for controlling of traffic in the pilgrim city. Members of TCC led by its president A Manjunath, met the urban SP to congratulate him on assuming charge and presented him a plant.

They brought to his notice about the traffic woes in the city and said that the city attracts VIPs very frequently and every time the traffic police have been concentrating on the routes on which the VIPs travel ignoring the traffic jam. They also explained the traffic problem at Rayalacheruvu level crossing due to frequent closure of gates to let the trains go in that route.

The SP reacted to the demands positively. TCC treasurer KV Choudary, Steel and Cement Association president Hemachandra Reddy, Tirupati Hotel Association president Krishna Bhat, RC Road Trade Association leader Ishaq, Transport Association leader Sridhar, Madhusudan, Vasudevan and others were present.
