Nellore: Nellore Mayor Abdul Aziz who sought Nellore MLA ticket has freshly conducted Atmagowrava Sabha on Tuesday uniting minority population in the city and other parts of the districts circuitously warning the TDP high command in the light of Minister Narayana is to be fielded from the city constituency.

He invited Muslim leaders and interacted with them on the situation if the party denies ticket and the community leaders clearly expressed their solidarity planning to mount direct pressure on the ruling Telugu Desam.

In fact, ruling Telugu Desam invited Abdul Aziz in 2014 from the YSR Congress and supported him for attracting huge minority votes in the city.

Since then, Aziz has been trying to establish his presence and subsequently expressed his wish to contest in the assembly polls. But, the party has not announced any decision and still he is confidence because of his close intimacy with Minister Lokesh.

But, former Minister Adala Prabhakar Reddy has been chosen for Nellore LS seat and met the Chief Minister where he reportedly proposed name of Minister Narayana whom to be fielded from Nellore city which made the Mayor on tenterhooks whether he can get the ticket or not.

Rumours also doing rounds that rural constituency would be allocated to another Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy where Mayor Aziz would naturally be denied.

So, Mayor sought support from the community for sending direct signal to the party and his aides also are saying they would discuss future action plan if the high command fails to take a decision on his candidature.
