Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday congratulated Bhupathiraju Anmish Varma on winning gold medal at the World Karate Championship 2018 held in Greece recently.
Deputy CM N Chinarajappa, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao, Law, Youth and Sports Minister Kollu Ravindra, Labour Minister Pithani Satyanarayana were also present at the secretariat on the occasion. Naidu appreciated Varma and said that for the first time in the history of Indian Karate a gold medal was won by India creating a new record in international Karate event and said that it was a proud moment for the state as Varma belongs to Andhra Pradesh.
