On the occasion of the World Diabetes Day, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences SVIMS will organise a screening programme for detection of diabetes on Wednesday
Tirupati: On the occasion of the World Diabetes Day, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) will organise a screening programme for detection of diabetes on Wednesday. The camp will be held at the Primary Health Centre in Mangalam in which families of patients will be counselled about the risk of diabetes. Information about holistic management of diabetes will also be provided.
The day marks the birth anniversary of Frederick Banting which is celebrated all over the World. The theme given by the International Diabetes Federation for the current year was “The Family and Diabetes”. Every family is likely to have some members with diabetes or at risk of developing it. If a member gets diabetes, other members may also get the disease due to stress
