RMC getting revenue from sale of manure
Municipal Corporation RMC is producing vermi compost with vegetable waste through its eight vermi compost units in the city
Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation (RMC) is producing vermi compost with vegetable waste through its eight vermi compost units in the city.
As part of it, the corporation is collecting 15 metric tonnes of waste from Rythu Bazaars and supplying to vermi compost units. Moreover, the corporation is selling the manure through near-by nurseries and getting income.
The eight vermi compost units are located at Gadalamma Nagar, Swarajya Nagar, MSR Nagar, AVA Road, Cherukuri Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Leela Nagar and
Narayanapuram.
Moreover, many near-by nursery managements are purchasing the vermi compost and the manure is getting good demand.
The corporation is trying to start a few more vermi compost units in the city to cater to the needs of nurseries.
