Eluru: West Godavari District Superintendent of Police M Raviprakash has said safety measures have been intensified at temples, bathing ghats and beaches during ongoing Karthika Masam.
He received complaints from people at Grievance Cell here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that they had beefed up security at Kartika Vana Samaradhana spots, temples and at places where devotees take a dip. He warned boozers not to go to beaches or other bathing places by consuming liquor.
He said that a majority of people approaching him at Grievance Cell had been complaining against domestic violence, harassment by in-laws, property issues and civil cases. He asked his subordinates to conduct inquiry into the complaints after registering FIR.
The status of probe should be revealed to the complainants within a fortnight, he instructed.
He urged those who complained with respect to civil cases should settle the issues in courts.
