YSRCP Vijayawada Central Assembly constituency coordinator Malladi Vishnu slammed the Telugu Desam Government for its failure to complete the Gunadala flyover in four years of its rule
Vijayawada: YSRCP Vijayawada Central Assembly constituency co-ordinator Malladi Vishnu slammed the Telugu Desam Government for its failure to complete the Gunadala flyover in four years of its rule.
He staged dharna near the Gunadala bridge on Tuesday with his followers protesting against the inaction of the TDP government in completing the bridge. Vishnu, as part of the `Ravali Jagan and Kavali Jagan’ padayatra, visited Gunadala on Tuesday and spoke to the local residents.
Vishnu said the construction cost of the bridge increased from Rs.30 crore to Rs.50 crore in the last four years. The Congress Government had sanctioned the funds for construction of the Gunadala flyover bridge connecting Gunadala to Elur Road passing over Ryves Canal, Elur Canal and Budameru rivulet.
He said a large number of students, employees, farmers and others are suffering due to non-completion of the bridge and they are facing hardships to cross three bridges.
He has assured the residents of Gunadala that the bridge works will be completed after the YSRCP voted to power in the Assembly elections in the State next year. He alleged that the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation is neglecting the backward Gunadala area and not providing infrastructure facilities in Adarsh Nagar and Shirdi Nagar.
