Kurnool: A rural medical practitioner Prasad committed suicide by hanging after explaining reasons for the decision in a selfie video at Sunnipenta in the district. Though the incident occurred on Saturday, it came to light on Monday when his mother Geethamma lodged a police complaint.
According to Srisalam police inspector V Shiva Prasad, while committing suicide the Prasad recorded the reasons and also left a suicide note. The suicide note and the video revealed that he was cheated by one Rajya Lakshmi, a Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) with whom he was having a live-in relationship for some time. Both of them were divorcees.
Geethamma said that her son was cheated by Rajya Lakshmi by having an affair with another person Ranga Rao. She alleged that her son resorted to the extreme step unable to bear the torture by Rajya Lakshmi and Ranga Rao.
Inspector Prasad said they had taken Rajya Lakshmi into custody and were searching for Ranga Rao. The body of Prasad was handed over to the family members after performing autopsy. A case has been filed the II town police station sub-inspector Ramesh was investigating the case. Inspector Prasad said suicide note and selfie video were confiscated.
