VRO lands in ACB net

The ACB sleuths caught Palakurthy VRO red-handed while accepting bribe from a farmer here on Monday. The ACB DSP Jayarama Raju said Sivashankar Rao of Palakurthy village approached the ACB and complained about the VRO’s demand seeking a bribe for issuing an electronic pattadar passbook.
Kurnool: The ACB sleuths caught Palakurthy VRO red-handed while accepting bribe from a farmer here on Monday. The ACB DSP Jayarama Raju said Sivashankar Rao of Palakurthy village approached the ACB and complained about the VRO’s demand seeking a bribe for issuing an electronic pattadar passbook.
The farmer is having five acres of land at Palakurthy village in Devanakonda mandal. He submitted application to MRO requesting to issue e-pattadar passbook to his land. Palakurthy VRO Eshwar Reddy has demanded Sivashankar Rao to pay him Rs 5,000 to issue e-pattadar passbook.
Despite expressing his inability to pay such a huge amount, the VRO kept on demanding the money, the DSP stated. Based on the complaint, the ACB caught VRO red-handed while accepting bribe. A case was filed against VRO and produced him in the ACB court.
