Kadapa: Proddaturu YSR congress MLA Rachamallu Siva Prasad Reddy has launched 36 hours fast camp at Puttaparthi circle in Proddaturu town demand the government to set up Sand reach in the river penna in the interest of local need.
Addressing press conference on Friday he said that the aim of the government in supplying sand at free of cost to the poor and needy not fulfilled instead it has turned boon for local TDP leaders as they are earning good money by illegally quarrying the sand selling it in black market. He said the GO No 3066 related to free supply of sand to the needy not implemented in proper manner as mining officials turned behest to the ruling party leaders.
He pointed out that illegal quarrying of sand is rampant in 2 sand reaches located in minister C.Audi narayana Reddy, Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh native villages Devagudi , Potla Durthy respectively as their followers looting the public money by selling cost of tractor sand Rs 3,000 in balck market. He threatened if officials fails to considered his demand in setting up sand reach in Proddaturu he will continued the stir until to death. Earlier the MLA organized rally 50 tractors in the town after performing poojas in Ramalingeswara swamy temple later sit in the fast camp.
