Nuzvid: In what could be described a record of sorts, 4,250 students formed human structural symbols like voter finger, election symbol and the disabled symbols like deaf and dumb, physically and visually challenged on the premises of IIIT here on Friday in connection with the National Voters Day.
Nuzvid sub-collector Swapnil Pundkar, who organised the event, said that every voter should exercise his franchise without failing. "The whole idea in organising this event is to make it a point that vote is a very important weapon to change the society," he added.
In addition to the human formation, stalls like model polling station displaying all the polling personnel seating arrangements and assured minimum facilities, voter enrolment stall and voter awareness stall were also put up at the venue. The complete event was recorded using a drone and was organised in plinth area of 7,6230 sft, the sub collector said.
