Amaravati: The AP government is going to present its Interim Budget on February 5, to a tune of about Rs 2.1 lakh crore. The sources at the Finance Minister’s office in the Secretariat informed that the Minister finalised the Vote-on-Account figures, after holding discussions with the department officials.
Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu presented Rs 1.91 lakh crore Budget for the financial year 2018-19. If he presents the Vote-on-Account for about Rs 2.1 lakh crore, then it would be roughly an increase of around Rs 20,000 crore over the previous Budget.
As Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu decided to implement promises like Pasupu Kunkuma scheme for women, double the pensions, allowance to the unemployed youth, provide direct cash benefits to farmers, the officials explained that the Interim Budget would ensure allocations for all the welfare schemes.
