City girl wins gold medal in boxing in Rajamahendravaram
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar congratulated an old student of a municipal corporation school Nasreen at his office here on Friday, for winning a gold medal in professional boxing league competitions held at Madurai in Tamil Nadu
Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar congratulated an old student of a municipal corporation school Nasreen at his office here on Friday, for winning a gold medal in professional boxing league competitions held at Madurai in Tamil Nadu.
Out of 14 participants who took part in the competitions, Nasreen brought laurels by winning a gold medal.
Nasreen studied up to the tenth class in Ramanujam Municipal Corporation School and now studying Intermediate second year in GovernmentJunior College.
She took training along with her brother Nasiruddin from her coach C Chandra Sekhar. Sumit Kumar said Nasreen proved her mettle in the competitions and brought name and fame to the city.
He assured to extend necessary assistance to Nasreen to participate in international competitions. Corporators M Sharmila Reddy and G Madhavi Latha also congratulated her.
