Vijayawada: Extending their support to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu who is fighting against the Central government to accord Special Category Status (SCS) to the state and to fulfil bifurcation promises, the students of Samana College of Design Studies wore black dress and staged a protest here on Saturday.

As many as 300 students participated in the protest displaying placards and raised slogans. The students said, ‘Special Category Status is the right of AP’. They said the Central government failed to fulfil the promises given to the State.

However, Naidu was striving hard to build the newly formed State by working 18 hours a day.

They said that with SCS many industries would invest in the State creating employment. Education sector would also improve creating a lot of employment, they added.
