Visakhapatnam: TDP city wing here on Wednesday staged a massive dharna protesting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Visakhapatnam on March 1.

Addressing the dharna, South MLA and party city wing president Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar demanded the Prime Minister to cancel his visit to Port City as he totally failed to implement the various provisions mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.

The Prime Minister has deliberately ignoring Andhra Pradesh and not releasing funds and sanctioned projects to the State. He called upon the people not to attend to the Prime Minister’s meeting and called upon them to teach a fitting lesson to him in the ensuing elections.

He warned that the TDP would intensify its protests till Modi cancels his visit to Vizag. He alleged that the BJP-led government at the Centre cheated the Andhra Pradesh people by not giving Special Category Status to the State and Railway zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters.
