Fiat India will re-introduce their Punto hatchback next month and call it the Punto Pure. The marketing outreach will be an attempt to clear the stocks of the old Punto that have remain unsold after the launch of the Punto Evo.

The Punto Pure will be available in three trims – Active, Dynamic and Emotion with the Emotion being the top-spec variant.

If you are lucky, you may also be able to land yourself the original Punto Sport with the 90bhp setup of the diesel Multijet engine.

The cars will all be manufactured in 2014 and we expect Fiat to come out with a very tempting price tag and overall package.

The Fiat Punto is a premium hatchback and competes with the likes of the Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Baleno. Though the car is a generation older, if the pricing is right, it may still turn out to be a good value for money car provided you have an authorised service centre nearby.
