Honda’s WR-V - a new crossover has been inspired from current generation Jazz hatchback will be launched soon in the international market. Going by the love for crossover's in India, WR-V may head to Indian shores as well.

Honda WR-V, as the vehicle is likely to be called is expected to get a lot of feature similar to Jazz.A cross-hatch version of Honda’s very own Jazz, it will be the automobile giant’s answer to Hyundai i20 Active, Fiat Avventura and Toyota Etios Cross. The testbed vehicle indicates the front and rear styling will be changed in order to give it a different identity than the standard Jazz.

With all the similarities and changes WR-V seems to be the next-gen Jazz Twist, an improved version of the older model meant for certain international markets.

The engine and the gearbox are going to be the same as the standard Jazz in this crossover. These include the 88.8bhp 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, borrowed from the Brio, and the 98.6bhp 1.5-litre Earth Dreams i-DTEC diesel engine like on the City and the Mobilio. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a CVT gearbox for the petrol motor; the diesel unit is mated to a six-speed manual.
