2017 Land Rover Discovery has been teased ahead of its global debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. This 7 seater SUV, a part of company’s Discovery line joins the 5 seater Discovery Sport and takes the place of the LR4.

The fifth generation Land Rover Discovery is based on a PLA – Platinum Lightweight Architecture platform indicating that overall weight will be significantly less than that seen on its current counterpart.

Its front end sees not much difference in design as compared to the Land Rover Discovery Vision concept showcased earlier, while new grille, LED headlights and vertical air intakes on the bumper unit are evident along with front skid plates.

Interiors of 2017 Land Rover Discovery will be seen with stepped roof allowing for stadium seating for upto 7 adults. It sports a two tone interior. Dashboard and central console design remain much the same while infotainment system is completely touchscreen operated and hence devoid of buttons.

Where engine specifications are concerned, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery will receive a range of petrol and diesel engine options. The 2017 Land Rover Discovery will be built along with the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport at the Solihull plant in England.
