The new Mercedes-Benz C 250 d wears the World Car of the Year crown and runs on 9G-TRONIC transmission. Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India says the C-Class is definitive of mid-size luxury sedans here. The reigning segment supremo was the highest sold model in the Mercedes-Benz India portfolio in 2015.

New C 250 d launch further strengthens the segment. Salient features include Garmin MAP PILOT, ambient lighting, all LED Intelligent Light System and PARKTRONIC.

In bringing the best to patrons in India, local manufacturing and launch are a welcome move in quick time. It boosts the luxury carmaker’s localisation strategy, and value commitment to customers. C 250 d local production will foster increased customer interest, added value proposition and increased availability.

New C 250 d’s 2143cc 4-cylinder diesel engine is most powerful in the segment. ECO start/stop fuels efficiency. The In line 4-cylinder engine generates 150 kW at 3800 rpm with a maximum torque of 500 Nm between 1600-1800 rpm, again segment topping numbers. Acceleration from 0-100 (km/h) is achieved in 6.6 seconds, and top speed km/h is electronically limited at 247 kmph.
