The startup is a venture between Vijay Rekhi, the former chief of United Spirits and alcohol supplier, Globus Supplier. It intends to take on the other multinationals dominating the spirit market by introducing new brands.
At present, it has whisky brands blended with scotch, aged 12 and 18 years. However, the market size of the semi premium whisky segment in Telangana and AP is five lakh cases whereas, premium whisky is ten lakh cases, on an annual basis. “These segments present a significant opportunity for us to grow at a rate of eight per cent and 10 per cent annually,” said the company official.
Besides, the startup has entered into a bottling contract with Bengaluru-based Sashi Distilleries and has identified 16 states to expand and garner a market share of 10 per cent.
