unionTirupati: Union Railway Minister Pavan Kumar Bansal said that the Railway Ministry was taking measures to develop and completely upgrade the Tirupati Railway station. Speaking to the media here on Friday, Bansal said that as there were too many people commuting between Chennai and Tirupati, a push and pull train would be introduced between them. He said that facilities would be introduced at Tirumala to cater to the needs of the devotees. Earlier, Union Minister for Railways Pavan Kumar Bhansal paid obeisance to Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala during Suprabhatham and Abhisheka Seva darshan on Friday early morning. Upon his arrival at the temple, he was given a warm welcome by TTD chairman K Bapiraju. Later, he offered prayers inside the sanctum sanctorum and was offered Lord's Prasadam, a shawl and the portrait of the Lord by the chairman and temple deputy executive officer Sri Chinnamgari Ramana. The Veda pundits blessed the Union Minister at Ranganayakula Mandapam. Temple Peishkar Rama Rao, reception officials Venkataiah, OSD Damodar and others were present.
