food2Chittoor: Women cadres, led by district women's wing president PV Gayatri Devi, on Tuesday celebrated the second anniversary of YSR Congress Party's Formation Day at Tapovanam, Home for Destitute and Mentally Retarded People, on Vellore Road here. Gayatri Devi, along with the cadres, distributed biscuits, bread packets, chocolates and stationary to about 100 mentally retarded people, and arranged lunch for them.A Speaking on the occasion, Gayatri Devi alleged leaders of both Congress and Telugu Desam parties were colluded and sent party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy to jail separating him from public. But the people are eagerly waiting for Jagan to return to them and carry out the vision and dreams of late chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, she added. She alleged that Telugu Desam Party totally failed in playing its role as the main opposition party, while YSRCP took over its roles during the last two years. TD made a secret understanding with Congress for its survival and ignored the pressing problems of public like skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, petrol and erratic power situation in the State.A District steering committee member Muneeswaramma, party activist Ramanamma and others were also present. Kadapa: Activists of YSR Congress Party celebrated the party's Foundation Day throughout the district on Tuesday. The activists hoisted the party flag in mandal headquarters and towns and vowed to strive hard for bringing the party into power in the ensuing general election. Meanwhile, the leaders of the party celebrated the Foundation Day in a low profile at the party office here on Tuesday. Moreover, the activists got furious at their leaders when the flag was hoisted in reverse. District Convener Suresh Babu, former MLA Raghurami Reddy, Kadapa convener Amzad Bhasha and other leaders were present.
