Isha Talwar, who made a splashy debut in Tollywood with Nitin-starrer 'Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde', is all smiles as she struck gold with her maiden film. The movie, which released on April 19, declared a biggest box-office grosser in Nitin's career.

In a freewheeling chat, Isha talks about her life before 'GJG', 'lucky mascot' tag, her Bollywood connection, future plans and a lot more.A "I debuted as a child artiste alongside Aishwarya Rai with 'Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai' where I was one of her sisters in the film. Also, the film is a Hindi remake of Telugu film 'Pelli Cheskundam' and it was shot in Hyderabad. Since then, I share a special equation with the city and always wanted to do Telugu films.

Meanwhile, I graduated in Economics from St Xavier's college in Mumbai and did a few commercials as well as music videos including one with Hrithik Roshan. A Veering towards her filmy background, Isha shares, "My dad Vinod Talwar had directed, produced and distributed films in Bollywood. He now works with producer Boney Kapoor and takes care after the distribution of films by BSK Network and Entertainment. I did not take up acting because of my dad but because of my passion. In fact, I was rewarded with scholarship at National School of Drama."

Despite the Bollywood connection, she started her career down South. Ask her about it. Pat comes the reply. "Honestly, I'm not in a position to review my career. As of now, I'm enjoying my success and focusing on my upcoming projects. I've two blockbusters- 'Thattathin Marayathu' and 'GJG'- under my belt. I'm looking forward to work in more Telugu films. I've watched a few Telugu films like 'Bommarillu', 'Parugu', 'Pokiri', 'Eega'. I'd like to work with Rajamouli, Sreenu Vaitla, Surender Reddy etc."

Talking about her dream roles, "I'm a trained dancer and hence, I'd like to play a dancer on reel as well. Sadly, I didn't get a chance to shake my leg in 'GjG'. But I'm glad that I'm basking in glory despite Nitin and Nitya Menen playing the stellar roles."

Meanwhile, Isha is hoping for a hat-trick as her Tamil film 'Thillu Mullu' is slated to release on May 12. On parting note Isha says, "I'm choosier now. Looking forward to take up challenging roles and don't want to do monotonous roles."
