On the other hand, actress Goan beauty Illeana D'Cruz debuted with Devadasu in 2006. So, more or less the two actresses started their respective careers around the same time. Kajal proved her acting prowess in Rajamouli's Magadheera opposite young mega star Magadheera. However, it was illeana who earned more remuneration.
But not anymore. It's good news foe the fans of Kajal as she will be paid Rs 2 crores for a film opposite legendary actor Kamal Haasan in a film to be directed by Linguswamy.
Grapevine has it that Anushka was initially offered the role which she couldn't accept as she's busy with Rudhramadevi and Baahubali.
Kajal too had refused to act with a senior actor when the director offered to pay her a crore. However, the actress said a conditional yes saying she will give her nod only if he agrees to pay her Rs 2 crores. Why not? She's an actress with great talent, especially the one who should be able to confidently act opposite an artiste such as Kamal. Way to go Kajal.
