However, one look at the video of 175 Days function of Chiranjeevi's movie Indra, shows how much Uday Kiran worshipped and loved the mega star. Uday's speech at the function is truly heart rending.
As you can see below, in this film function, the host says "Generally, people become fans of movie stars after they grow up watching his movies. However, Uday Kiran became a fan of megastar Chiranjeevi when he was in his mother's womb.
I can see a sea of humanity here. I am only a drop from this sea, says Uday Kiran. He also said that the crowd has gathered here only because of Chiranjeevi.
Admitting that he was a fan of Chiranjeevi since his childhood, Uday says he had a burning desire to at somehow hold the hands of his megastar Chiranjeevi.
He tried to fulfill his ambition to at least touch Chiranjeevi by escaping police, lathicharge to reach the stage.
Recalling the incident, Uday says: "When I tried to approach the stage accompanied by my mother, Allu Arvind tried to stop me saying it was not possible. However, I pleaded with him to just let me touch Chiranjeevi. I somehow managed to hold his hands. From that moment on, he was imprinted in my mind."
Uday says, Chiranjeevi was everywhere for him. At home and in school too he would dance to the songs from Chiru's movies.
He adds, "After I entered films, I was waiting to get a glimpse of Chiru. Once it so happened that shooting of both our movies were happening in the same location. I went up to him and said, 'Sir I am a big fan of yours. I spoke to him for 30 minutes.
Today, I got a chance to spend an entire day with him and this is like festival for me."
