Weekend Love fructifies, finally!

After overcoming every obstacle that came its way, ‘Weekend Love’, starring ‘Katha’ fame Adith and ‘Rishi’ fame Surpriya Sailaja in the lead roles, is finally due for release. Also starring the late Srihari in a key role, the film’s first function - audio launch - was held in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Former journalist Nagu Gavara is turning director with the flick, a production of Thota Madhu. Nagu said the film is the result of 16 months of toil. “We are through with the shooting. Srihari was like a brother to me in the industry and was my constant pillar of support. It’s sad that he is not here with us today,” he said. Actor Adith said that he was disappointed when the film was put on hold for some time. “However, the producer promised to complete the film and he kept up his promise. Nagu has a bright future ahead,” he said. The audio function also saw noted faces like Ramesh Prasad, Gunnam Gangaraju, MM Srilekha, Maruthi, Sundeep Kishan, Adivi Sesh, Naveen Chandra and Rahul Ravindra in attendance. Sekhar Chandra has composed tunes for the film.
