Rabhasa in trouble again!

NTR’s upcoming film ‘Rabhasa’ seems to be in trouble again! While the release was initially planned on August 15, it was postponed to August 29. And according to reliable sources close to the production house it is now learnt that there could be a delay yet again.

It is heard that ‘Rabhasa’ producer Bellamkonda Suresh owes close to Rs 60 lakh to Lakshmi Manchu’s Manchu Entertainment Ltd.

A source from the Manchu’s camp says, “A good number of scenes and a song in ‘Rabhasa’ were shot at Gandharvamahal, a property owned by Manchu Lakshmi. It was promised that the rent would be paid once the shooting completes but even though the film is ready for release, the rent hasn’t been paid yet.”

Adds the source, “After the producer couldn’t be contacted for some time, Lakshmi Manchu’s representatives reached Bellamkonda Suresh’s house on Tuesday evening demanding the payment. We are appalled because he has money to launch his son’s second film but is refusing to pay the rent saying he has no money.”

The AP Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telugu Film Producers Council have been approached by Lakshmi in relation to the issue.
