Hyderabad: Being a popular actress in Tollywood also means getting high remuneration, nearly Rs 1.25 crore for a film and a proportionately high figure for an item song.
According to a source, Shruti Haasan, who appeared in a special song in the recently-released Mahesh Babu film charged Rs 40 lakh. Tamannaah who performed in a song in Alludu Seenu that was released couple of months back, also charged something similar.
But both, the films’ makers and the actresses are happy. The filmmakers feel that the film will get extra hype with these special songs, so they are willing to pay, and the actresses get good pay for just two days of work. Of course, they appear on the screen for just three to four minutes!
