Ilaiyaraaja has sent a legal notice to director Shankar and the Kappal film unit. In the notice the veteran music director has alleged that his song Ooru Vittu Ooru Vandhu from the 1989-film Karagattakkaran has been used in the movie without his permission.
Of late, several Tamil film-makers have been using hit songs of Ilaiyaraaja from classics to sell their movie.
While some have sought the maestro's permission, a few others don't bother to even inform. This has naturally irked Ilaiyaraaja.
