Producer Chandrapal Singh turns director for Azamgarh

After moving to Mumbai, Chandrapal was faced with dilemma, whether to be in front of camera or behind.

After producing two movies ‘Lakeer Ke Fakeer’ and ‘Bhouri’. Now he is ready to hit the big screens with his directorial debut, ‘Azamgarh’.

Chandrapal told Media, “I belong to Azamgarh, a place that has a negative impact in the media and the world. I havealways witnessed that bad things are remembered and good things are forgotten. Personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Kaifi Azmi, Rahul Sankrityayan are from Uttar Pradesh, but the individuals from U.P. is always assumed as gangster and doesn’t get a chance to prove themselves”.

According to Chandrapal ground reality is something else. Indeed people in Azamgarh are target oriented. Some of them may indulge in wrong activities to achieve. But for this the entire city of Azamgarh can’t be blamed.

Chandrapal added some real facts of the movie, “I wanted to portray all the elements in my movie. My movie will have situation driven crime, rest it’s too early to reveal but the film with end with a massage that- ‘I Belong To Azamgarh and I Am Not A Criminal’ ”.

Director further added, “City or place is not a reason of crime. Azamgarh is land of politics and the city is well connected with other big cities across the globe with some reason or the other. Majority made a misconception that Azamgarh’s resident is crime oriented. Mumbai is financial capital. We got crime here also but never blamed any Mumbai resident as criminal, so ‘Why?’ Azamgarh”.

Director declares that he has been working on the script since he produced the other two movies. Says, “It took a long time and great energy to get all the facts. I shall win, if I could portray a real picture of my city Azamgarh”.

About the star cast director was mouth wrapped but revealed, “My script demands all intense characters who can understand the depth of the story. So with no compromise, we shall go for all A-Listers artists only”.

Azamgarh is directed by Chandrapal Singh, to be produced himself under the banner S. Video Pictures Pvt. Ltd.

The Film is likely to hit the floors in April 2015.
