Prabhas Baahubali release date confirmed

The wait surrounding the release date of P r a b h a s - s t a r r e r ‘Baahubali’ is finally over.

The magnum opus, also starring Anushka, Tamannaah and Rana in the lead roles, will be hitting the screens mid- May, thereby setting the tone for an interesting summer.

Though an official confirmation from the production team is awaited, it is all but confirmed that the most expensive Tollywood film will open in cinemas this May. Currently, director SS Rajamouli is filming a song on Prabhas and Tamannaah in the Film City.

A special set has been erected for the purpose. Now that the period drama’s release date has been revealed, we hear that most filmmakers who wanted to release their films for summer have decided to adjust their plans.

“Everyone kept a vigil on ‘Baahubali’ release and as soon as the makers dropped a hint of their plans on Monday, some big production houses have pushed their films forward.

Only after ‘Baahubali’ runs for a couple of weeks, they are keen to pitch their films,” informed an industry insider. In the making for more than two years, the film is a production of K Raghavendra Rao, Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni.
