Why Pandago Chesko got delayed?

Launched nearly a year ago, Ram-starrer ‘Pandaga Chesko’ was nowhere to be seen or heard of till Thursday evening when an official press note was released announcing that the film is in post-production. “Barring a song, the shooting is over. We’ve started dubbing today and are planning to release the film in April-end,” it read.It comes as a surprise that the film – which has no extraordinary special effects or technical work involved – has been on the sets for so long.

Speculations were rife that lead actor Ram’s starry airs were one of the reasons for the inordinate delay but the film’s producer Paruchuri Prasad has a different story to tell when Hans Talkies contacted him. “There are many artistes in the film, thus it turned out to be a tough job to get the combination dates,” he shares.When quizzed if the dates weren’t decided earlier, he is quick to remind us of the strikes that took place in between. “There were two unexpected strikes and after that things went out of control,” insists Prasad.

Ram moving on to other projects raised enough eyebrows on his interest towards the project. Put that to the producer, he states, “The film is almost over and all these things keep happening. It's no big deal. He is required to shoot for few more days for the film.”Featuring Rakul Preet Singh, Sonal Chauhan, Sai Kumar, Jayaprakash Reddy, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Raghu Babu, Rao Ramesh and Supreeth in key roles, the film, a mass entertainer, is helmed by Gopichand Malineni.
