The wait finally seems to be over. Yes, for all those eagerly waiting to see Megastar Chiranjeevi make a grand entrance on the big screen for the 150th time, it is all but official that the actor-turned-politician’s landmark film will be a directorial venture of PuriJagannadh — as reported by us sometime back.
According to a source, after great consideration, Chiru has given a nod to a period drama which will be set in the mid ‘40s. “BVS Ravi had bounced Chiru an idea last year and impressed by it, the actor had asked for it to be developed. The writer, a diehard fan of Chiru, is through with the complete draft and the actor took a liking to it,” says the source, adding the film is likely to be flagged off in September.
While Ram Charan had mentioned earlier that he would produce the milestone film of his father, the source adds that that Bandla Ganesh is tipped to produce it. A clear picture regarding this will be made public by Chiru himself. Regarding who will pen the dialogues, there might be a tossup between Paruchuri Brothers, PuriJagannadh and BVS Ravi.
