"Rajesh Khanna cinema memorabilia collection is any collectors' delight. Not just because he was a superstar and gave iconic hits, but because there is so much nostalgia associated with the artwork of the publicity material of his films. Films like 'Aradhana' 'Anand', 'Kati Patang', 'Daag', 'Doli', 'Do Raaste', 'Namak Haram' and 'Bawarchi' all invoke powerful memories of the era," told Batra.

Iconic yesteryear film posters, lobby cards, show cards besides song booklets and some long play vinyl records will feature in the exhibition. Referred as the "first superstar" and the "original superstar" of Indian cinema, Rajesh Khanna starred in 15 consecutive solo hit films in the period 1969 to 1971.

Fondly known as 'Kaka' by his fans, Rajesh Khanna married Dimple Kapadia in 1973. They separated in 1984. After hits like ‘Aaradhana’ and ‘Amar Prem’, the actor was out of the limelight for many years.
