And guess what? The actress, according to a source, is taking away Rs 1.2 crore for the project, making her one of the highest paid Tollywood actresses of all time. This project will be directed first timer Venu Mallidi, while Shresth Movies, Nithiin’s home banner, will be bankrolling it.
“Rakul was supposed to co-star with Nithiin last year itself but the project got stalled. She agreed to do this movie for around Rs 50-60 lakh but now that she is a bigger force to reckon with, she has doubled her pay cheque. The producer too agreed to meet her demands as Nithiin was adamant on her,” said the source.
“The advance amount has been paid to her representative recently.” The film, a romantic entertainer, will flag-off shortly and it remains to be seen whether Nithiin will shoot for this project simultaneously with Trivikram’s film.
