With theatrical run limited to a maximum of three weeks, Mahesh Babu-starrer ‘Srimanthudu’ has managed to achieve a rare feat. The film, also starring Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and Rajendra Prasad in key roles, completed 50 days run in 185 screens spreading across both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Friday. It also happens to the second Tollywood film which has managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club.
Admittedly, Mahesh, who has also co-produced the film along with Mythri Movies, is happy with the result. “Besides inspiring me to do more good films, the film has given me immense satisfaction as an actor,” said Mahesh in a statement. Director Koratala Siva insisted that the film’s success is a prime example of what happens when strong content meets a superstar. “I’m very happy with the success,” he said.
