Pavani Reddy, who made her debut with Sharwanand and Nithya Menen-starrer ‘Malli Malli Idhi Raani Roju’, seems to be the hottest catch for filmmakers for the support cast. The Guntur-born, who recently wrapped up her part for Anushka-starrer ‘Size Zero’, has also signed on superstar Mahesh Babu-starrer anticipated family drama ‘Brahmotsavam’.
“I play Mahesh’s younger sister who is married and settles in UK. I will join the sets shortly. It’s not a sister role that you generally associate with in star films, wherein you mouth a dialogue or two and fade away. It’s meaty,” shares Pavani.

While the model-turned actress is yet to strike a lengthy conversation with the superstar, she is bowled over by director Sreekanth Addala’s humility. “When I first met him, he was sitting on the floor and working on the script. He made me sit on a chair. But I was uncomfortable and later sat down on the floor. We discussed about my role and middle-class family life among other subjects,” she states.

Pavani is gung-ho about her character in ‘Size Zero’. “I’m Anushka’s best buddy in the film. I am slightly plump and aspire to become Miss India. I had to put on four kilos. It is an important role and propels the narrative forward,” she insists tongue-firmly-in cheek.

Since the film is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, Pavani had to shoot for the Tamil version too. “I got my Tamil dialogues way in advance, so I was up to the task. Everybody in the unit assumed that I was a Tamil girl since I reeled the lines effortlessly,” she laughs.

Pavani describes Anushka as a sweetheart. “She is very caring. I remember taking the dress trails with high heels. Sensing I was uncomfortable, she was the first to respond,” she recalls.
