Recalling how she bagged the offer, the Bengaluru lass shares, “I was called for an audition in Mumbai. When I went, there were already 200 girls standing in queue. I gave my audition and went back to Bengaluru. Surprisingly, after a day, I got a call from the makers asking me to come for a screen test. I got through it as well and signed the project. They were looking for someone who has the ability to look glamorous and realistic and I matched their needs.”
Describing about her role in the love drama, “I reprise Deepti Naval (who did the original) and it’s a performance oriented role – the role of a girl who lived in a chawl in Andheri, Mumbai. What she aspires in life and what happens to her is what the film is about. I hope I’ll be able to live up to the expectations of the original,” explains the actress.
The former model had to do some research to look the part. “I had to change and work on my body language, looks and walking style. I also interacted with people who live in the chawl to get a hang of their behaviour and routine. It was a thrilling experience,” she signs off.
