While reports that the unit of Nani’s forthcoming film ran away on Saturday morning after a crew member suffered an electric shock (on the sets) and died near Sanghi temple in Hyderabad, the film’s director Indraganti Mohan Krishna clarifies they haven’t fled away, instead re-gathered to discuss about the future course of action.

“First of all, the deceased Tirupathi (25), is a part of caravan crew and not a lighting assistant. Secondly, it was also rumored that the film’s lead actress Surabhi was immediately sent back to the hotel after the incident. This is also untrue. Surabhi, Nani and I, and the entire crew assembled again to discuss the way forward. After observing silence for a few minutes, we have decided to help the family of the deceased financially too.

It’s really unfortunate and disturbing incident. The shooting was halted and the unit is dejected, he elucidates. Ask him whether the unit will resume shooting anytime soon, the director says, “We are discussing the plan and how to go about after the tragedy, and we’ll come to know in a couple of days.”
