Despite starring in big ticket flicks like ‘Puli’ and ‘Om-3D’, actress Nikesha Patel’s career hasn’t taken off in Tollywood. The Brit model even tried her hands in Tamil and Kannada films, earning decent recognition. While the fate of her third Telugu film ‘Leela’, which was launched earlier this year, still hangs in balance, the latest we hear is that the actress is set for a comeback in Telugu.
It is learnt that she has been signed on to romance Sairam Shankar up next. The film in question will be directed by debutant Vasudev. Interestingly, Nikesha was supposed to work with Sairam sometime back but talks didn’t materialise.
A source close to the unit says, “Nikesha found the script intriguing and gave her consent to Vasu. She has been looking to stage a comeback in Tollywood for a while and she’s glad that such a script, which has the scope to exhibit her acting chops, has come her way.”
The source adds that the petite actress will be going for a slight makeover for the project in terms of her look and hairdo, and she is already prepping up for it.
