There are high expectations on the film as it's Jr NTR's 25th film and directed by creative director Sukumar.

Story:

The film is a routine revenge drama under Sukumar's intelligent direction. NTR (Abhiram) is the son of the Richest Entrepreneur Ramesh Chandra Prasad (Rajendra Prasad ) and his dad is his biggest inspiration.

Ramesh Chandra is admitted to a hospital due to Korsakoff syndrome. Doctors inform Abhiram that his father may not live long. Abhi also learns that one Jagapathi Babu (Krishnamurthy) was the reason behind his father's present state.

Now, his goal is to counter Krishnamurthy (Jagapathi Babu ) who is also a rich businessman and he goes after him. Rakul Preet Singh (Divyanka) is the daughter of Jagapathi Babu and Abhiram gets close to her.

The story is all about mind games between Abhiram and Krishnamurthy. What is Abhi Ram's father's wish and how will he fulfill it? To find out the reason, watch full movie on the big screen.

Performances:

Jr NTR has been seen in a variety of roles in all his films, but this is a complete makeover for him not only in terms of looks but his acting style too.

His stylish looks, dialogue delivery, and dance are the highlights of the film.

There is much to talk about Jr NTR's acting. There were reports that he initially hesitated to sign the film with Sukumar as his last film 1 Nenokkadine with Mahesh Babu was a dud. But after watching the film, many feel that Jr NTR has taken the right decision by teaming up with Sukumar. Though the movie may not become a big hit commercially, the audience will surely leave the cinema hall impressed with Jr NTR's performance.

Rakul is drop dead gorgeous, looks sexy and her glowing skin ups the much-needed glam quotient in the film.

After Srimanthudu, Jagapathi Babu has got a good role to show his acting skills. Rajendra Prasad is his usual self-paying justice to his role like always.

Plus Points:

  1. Jr NTR
  2. Jagapathi Babu
  3. Cinematography
  4. Butterfly Effect shots-Stunts

Minus Points:

  1. Dragged scenes
  2. Comedy
  3. Lack of commercial elements

Analysis:

Even though Nannaku Prematho is a regular revenge drama, Sukumar makes it an interesting watch with his intelligent screenplay. There is the best stunt in the film which has probably not been seen in the Telugu movies. To save Rakul Preet Singh from kidnappers, NTR creates a butterfly effect to finish off the goons without raising his hand. The mind games between Jr NTR and Jagapathi Babu keep viewers engaged. Most of the movie has been shot in the UK and the visuals are extraordinary.

The film has rich production values and producer BVSN Prasad seems to have not compromised on the budget as exotic locales in London are a visual treat. Sukumar's engrossing direction may not appeal to the B and C centers, but would connect with most of the audience. The emotional scenes between the lead characters have come out very well and the emotional scenes in the climax are heart touching.

Like 1 Nennokkadine, the film begins with a good start but as it progresses, some scenes make the audience strain the brain a wee bit.

Bottom line: A routine revenge drama but a must watch for NTR fans

Rating: 3/5
