Akshay Kumar who is riding on the success of his recent movie Airlift is gearing up for his Tamil project with Rajinikanth. The actor is all set to venture South with Rajinikanth’s movie Robot 2.0 where he will be seen playing the role of an antagonist.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth was recently awarded the Padma Vibhushan and while many wondered whether Akshay Kumar had congratulated the superstar over the award, the actor's response left many in surprise. Akshay revealed that he wanted to congratulate the actor via a phone call but didn't have the guts to ask for his number.
