Sonam Kapoor who has catapulted her way to the top with the success of Neerja, was recently awarded the "Woman of Substance" honor at the HT Style Awards.
An electric mix of both style and substance, the actress and international fashion icon , made a breath taking appearance at the award function in a customized black Ashi studio creation and accessorized it with a Corto Moltedo clutch.
The actress was presented her award by none other than close friend and Raanjhanaa co-star Swara Bhaskar. And in a move that no one expected, Sonam, on receiving the award dedicated it to Swara and to her Neerja co-star Shabana Azmi ,calling them women who are completely deserving of that title.
Overwhelmed by her gesture Swara said, "“Ever seen an actress plug another actress’s film, while receiving an award for her own amazing work? @sonamkapoor did just that as she received #HTStyleAward for a stylish woman of substance for her superb work in #Neerja.
