Rakul Preet Singh’s last Tamil release might have been two years ago but that hasn’t deterred the producers of her Tamil comeback film to pay a bomb to sign the actress. Yes, actor-producer Vishal has is paying the much-in-demand actress of Tollywood Rs 1 crore for his film ‘Thupparivaalan’. Launched in mid-March, the flick, directed by Mysskin, is a thriller laced with fantasy elements.
A source said, “Since Vishal has plans to dub the film on a massive note in Telugu, he felt Rakul’s appeal would help him on the promotional front. Also, he is aware of her discipline and dedication before deciding to knock her doors for the part with a massive paycheck. Impressed by her part and obviously the fee, she has green-lit the film.”
The source further added the Telugu connect is the reason that made Vishal to pay Jagapathi Babu too Rs 1.30 crore for the project. Seems like Rakul’s juggernaut continues in Kollywood too.
